Paper dolls and other paper toys

How to download models/ dolls from this site

If you have a download manager program on your computer:
1) Click on a picture to open it.
2) In the picture window, right-click on the picture and choose download. (In my pop-up, it says “Download by Orbit”, since that is the name of my downloading program.)

This way, all images will be downloaded with the same dpi setting that was used when I uploaded them. (Not essential when all images were scanned as the same size and dpi setting, but essentiel with sets like Cuddles and Rags, Betsy and Bitsy.)

If you do not have a download manager program on your computer:
1) Click on a picture to open it.

2) Hover your cursor over the picture. This menu how2will appear at the top left of your picture.

3) Click on the 3rd option: Send picture as e-mail (If it asks you if you want to resize for e-mail, choose “keep the original sizes”.)

4) You now have an e-mail with the picture as attachment. Send it to yourself, and save the attachment.

This way, all images will also be downloaded with the same dpi setting that was used when I uploaded them.

Ps: Perhaps some computer whizz can tell us an easier way to download pics for those without a download manager program, a way that will preserve the original dpi setting? If so, please share your expertise with us!

You can just click ‘save picture as’ and it will go in your pictures.

My husband just taught me the ‘save picture as’ trick. It has saved me so much time. I have to right click on the image to get the menu with ‘save picture as’. Also, If you have Photoshop like I do, you have so many options to play with to change, upload and create paper dolls. It is 1/2 the fun for me, making a twin using the same doll, recoloring the hair and clothes, horizontally flipping the doll and clothing to make a sister, shrinking a doll of itself to make it a doll, too. I also resize the ones I want to print out to an 8×10 size and, like you suggested, I resize the clothing to the same scale as the doll. Thanks for your advice.
